Along the Canal in Tongeren

These three are from an evening stroll down by a canal that passes through the city of Tongeren in Belgium. Due to the lack of light, I found that the 'de-saturated' worked the best. The old city feeling (completely justified since Tongeren is a part of the "Most Ancient European Towns Network" and was even famous for a Gaulic rebellion agains Julius Caesar) and the black and white / desaturated look really accentuated the feeling.

Bridges and Beaches

I know I know, the beach in the second picture isn't as nice as the one that I was posting earlier from Punta Cana, but hey, what can you do? I found these next two images quite interesting for the sole reason that they aren't at all what we are used to seeing them with. Obviously this comes from the seasons. The bridge seems to be lacking something, and in this case, running water. For the second image, it takes a couple of moments to realise what the chair is since we don't associate a lifeguard chair with a frozen river. -> I <- think this makes the images all that more interesting ... but maybe that is just me. Dipping Under the Bridge

Easter weekend a got out for the first time in a long time to get a few pictures. I found this place by accident (I didn't realise that the sun would be going down right beside the bridge this time of the year) and made a point of coming back the next day to get some images. Below are a couple that came out of it all.
