Flying Over the Prairies

Have you had enough hot air balloon pictures? I figured as much and so it is time to move on (that is actually code for ... I'm out of the hot air balloon pictures). One of the neat things about flying, if the sky is clear beneath you, is watching the terrain. The prairies bring their own unique style to the game as well. Here are three pictures taken from the plane as I flew into Winnipeg.

Rest of the Vintage Wings

Here are the three remaining images from the Vintage Wings "air show" a couple of weekends ago. Again, a nice treat seeing aircraft like this performing for us so close to home!

Vintage Wings "Air Show" in Gatineau

Last weekend I had the opportunity to head out to the Gatineau Airport for the Vintage Wings "Air Show". I throw air show up in quotes because I'm not sure if that is what you should call it. There were many vintage airplanes out on display and there was a flying portion consisting of 5 or 6 planes, finally followed by the snowbirds. Here is a couple images of the F-86 Sabre, which put on an awesome show. More images of a couple others to come tomorrow.
